Service Description

Want to do something creative for your next get-together, bachelorette party, bridal shower party or family event? Meredith, an artist and Founder of Merry confectionery will bring this amazing cookie decorating class to your door steps. In this 2 hours class, kids will learn three different aspects of cookie decoration. The first style will be adding the base coat in layers to a blank cookie. This will teach the basic concept of what is IN the royal icing for it to be “puffy” and "liquidy" before hardening. You will also be using a thicker consistency of icing in order to pipe out details on top of previously decorated ‘blank’ cookies. Finally they will use food coloring to create a watercolor design with a paintbrush. Instructor: Meredith, is an artist and Founder of Merry confectionery, a unique cookie shop based out of her home. She previously worked as a cookie decorator for the famous Yummy Mummy bakery in Westborough,MA She is a self taught cookie decorator, finding her joy for it passed on from generation by her grandmother and mother. Using her signature Royal Icing and with lots of trials and practice she is now a master at this art of cookie decoration. We are blown away looking at some of her amazing and unique creations. she is always watching, listening and learning new techniques and finding new cookie designs to challenge herself. She believes the best way to learn this type of decorating is just practice. Lots and lots of practice!!!
