Why Plate Nextdoor?

Plate Nextdoor is a community building platform that enables people to experience culturally enlightening culinary adventures from passionate cooks who enjoys sharing recipes and stories from their home kitchens.

Why Culinary Experiences?

​

According to secondary research, millennials are cooking more and it isn’t considered a chore but ability to create an experience. However, there is no easy way exists in finding places for culinary enthusiasts to learn new skills and taste new food. Cooking classes that are available are generally very expensive and too complex for everyday cooking and, online recipes limits people from feeling, smelling and tasting all the amazing ingredients and the final product itself. In addition, restaurants limit us from learning authentic delicacies, and history, culture and traditions behind the food they serve.
