Thanks for sharing your story with us Supriya. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up in India, I have the best memories of food tasting from our neighbor’s kitchen, and for some reason, food served in other’s kitchen was not only different and unique but always told me a story of the family living there. From roots of their ethnicity to culture and tradition, kindness and generosity to humility and grandeur. It was indeed my first food experience as a kid trying new cuisines in culturally rich Indian neighborhoods.

I was convinced I could never cook Indian food.
At least not well (in my few attempts I’ve failed miserably). But recently I discovered Newton start-up The Naan Americans – an Indian food cooking class taught by home chefs – which showcases “simple and easy recipes with a blend of modern and classic International cuisines that can be easily reproduced in your own kitchen.” Given my own experience I was skeptical, but intrigued.
