GRACE PEREZ, Seattle WA

My passion for cooking began with my love for a Filipino dish called Pinakbet. It is a one-pot vegetable dish using eggplant, okra, bitter melon and yam stewed in bagoong (fish sauce) creating a symphony of flavor and texture. From that point, I wanted to learn more about food, flavor and texture. I live in Seattle with my Cameroonian partner and two children bringing in more diversified food by mixing and matching flavors from different culture that excite my palate and imagination. Come to my kitchen to learn authentic and modern Filipino cuisine and feel the ingredients and the magic of stories behind our food and culture.
